Message for Teachers- Please either leave students slips in Nicole Wobken's box or add them to the Track the Miles website when they bring them to you from Wednesday. Please make sure you add your name to the slip so that I know which class the student is in. Most times it is just a first name with the last initial so it makes it hard to know which class the student is in. (: If students have laps on their hand on Friday, please make sure to either add those to the website, or email them to me. (:

If you need help with adding miles to the Track the Miles website, please come see me in Room 8.

News Flash from Mrs. Tracey!

Science Fair Projects due Monday December 5th. Parents will be invited to view on December 6th.

News Flash from the PTA:

Food Drive: Continue encouraging your students to bring in their cans and non-perishable food items! I have attached a picture of the flyer in English and Spanish for you to post for your families as another reminder. Please be sure you are using your class roster to keep a tally of how many food items each student brings so that they get the correct number of bingo cards when they join us for Bingo Night. The food drive will end on December 9th. If you could please place your class rosters in my box on that afternoon, that would be awesome! PTA will be using them to count how many Bingo Cards each class needs.

Family Bingo Night: Bingo night will be held on Wednesday, December 14th from 4:00 – 5:30pm in the MPR. Students will pick up their Bingo Cards when they arrive. A flyer will be going home to families with more information about Bingo Night on Monday.

6th grade will be selling nachos, soda, water, etc. to fundraise for 6th grade camp.

Winter Shop: PTA will be setting up the winter shop in the library the week of Dec. 12th! Your students will shop during your library time that week. As of right now, there will not be a make-up day. PTA is working hard to find volunteers to help run the shop and will let us know if they are able to get enough people to have a make-up day. A flyer is coming next week to go home to families.

Make sure you let us know what you are teaching, the students should know the objective of the lesson they are learning. They should have Essential Questions that they can answer at the end of the lesson.

Make sure you are aware of the standards you are teaching, AND the rigor of those standards. Do not rely on the curriculum to meet the rigor. I placed an ELA standards progression document in your box.
